SOLAR ENERGY PROJECT

Berkeley Energy Group and EDF Renewables have partnered together to begin constructing a multi-million dollar solar-energy farm over reclaimed mine areas in Pikeville, Kentucky. The facility will be the largest in the state and one of a kind.  It will include immense quantities of solar panels expected to produce between 50 to 100 megawatts of electricity.

MET COAL PROJECT

Berkeley Energy Group controls over 117 million tons of recoverable permitted met coal, covering 60 thousand acres. Included with the reserve are all mining permits, a modern preparation plant and tipples on the CSX and NS railways in Eastern Kentucky. To learn more information, visit Ross Harris Group.

Oil & Gas

Berkeley Energy Group has approximately 160,000 acres of oil and gas rights in eastern Kentucky and West Virginia. The majority of the oil and gas properties lie in or adjacent to the Rome Trough sedimentary basin. The Cambrian Rogersville Shale, located in the Rome Trough, is the oldest organic- rich shale in Appalachia and has recently attracted significant interest as an oil play from a variety on major oil and gas companies. The Company is a lessor to most of the major oil and gas companies operating in central Appalachia.
